Life Gifts | New Ways for Love to Remain

Some memories belong close at hand.

A season of life shared with someone. Words left unspoken. A wish we want to carry into a new beginning. At 还在 Remain, we work with bespoke art and handcraft to give these deeply personal connections a tangible form—something to hold, wear, and treasure.

A Life Gift can accompany remembrance or mark a meeting, a milestone, or a fresh start. Each piece begins with a person's story. We explore the materials, forms, and details that can carry its meaning into everyday life.

Time moves on. Love remains.

From a Story to a Work of Art

Tminorlab, the artisan studio led by Zeya, an art therapist with Remain, is one of the places where these works take shape. Here, Remain's Life Gifts sit alongside Tminorlab's ready-to-wear jewelry collections and bespoke jewelry from TL Studio.

These practices share an appreciation for honest materials, the traces of handwork, and details that hold personal meaning. Our aesthetic favors restrained light, natural color, and forms that feel at home in daily life. A piece can be quiet and still carry extraordinary significance for its wearer.

Jiao Hua Song Sheng: Remembrance in Silver and Stone

千年万岁,椒花颂声

For a thousand years, for ten thousand more, may pepper blossoms sing in praise.

May someone, a thousand or ten thousand years from now, still remember you as I do.

Drawing on Song- and Ming-era aesthetics, the Jiao Hua Song Sheng collection brings sterling silver, traditional filigree, and natural gemstones into wearable forms for life crystals. Memory finds expression through pattern, structure, and touch.

Zi Pei combines a gourd silhouette, coin motifs, and the form of a Tibetan gau amulet box in an opening silver pendant. A life crystal rests on the outside; a private space within can hold a note, a page of prayer, or a small keepsake. One connection is visible. Another is held close.

Bao Xiang surrounds its central life crystal with layered, openwork begonia petals. Worn as a brooch, scarf clasp, or bag ornament, it allows remembrance to become part of everyday dress.

Han Guang brings together 108 lapis lazuli and tiger-eye beads, a movable jade ring, and a small pendant set with a life crystal Passing the beads through one's fingers offers a quiet, repeated gesture of remembrance.

Together, these pieces give cherished memories a place to be carried, while leaving each person free to choose their own way of remembering.

Pearl Hidden in the Sea and Radiance Within

Pearl Hidden in the Sea is a bespoke bracelet centered on a single natural Tahitian black pearl. Its dark luster shifts gently with the light, carrying its wearer's wishes for ease, good fortune, and inner peace.

Radiance Within uses natural black obsidian, with its deep color and finely polished surface. Here, darkness and reflection become a visual language for steadiness: a small, personal reminder to meet life with composure.

Both pieces were commissioned to carry a personal blessing. A Life Gift can also be a gift to oneself, honoring the life we are living now.

Moonlight Lover: A Small Light to Carry

A rose-cut rainbow moonstone of approximately two carats sits within a hammered sterling-silver square ring. The marks of handwork and the stone's changing colors give this bespoke piece a gentle, distinctive presence.

“The sun warms us; moonlight loves us.” With moonlight as its guiding image, the ring expresses companionship through a light that can be subtle and still stay with us.

Snow and Earth: Nature as a Wearable Keepsake

The Snow and Earth collection draws on the colors and textures of natural minerals to evoke highland landscapes.

Sa-Ö, meaning “Light of the Earth,” centers red jasper among tiger-eye, obsidian, malachite, amber, and aventurine. Its palette recalls red rock, deep green, and warm earth.

Gang-Ö, meaning “Light of the Snow Mountain,” places clear quartz among colored minerals, suggesting the clarity of snow and ice above a richly varied landscape.

Nature becomes a language for the work. Color, texture, and weight give memories of open landscapes a form that can be worn.

Su Huan and AKASHA: Scent, Touch, and Expression

Su Huan combines handmade aromatic beads and sandalwood beads in simple forms, bringing scent and touch into everyday jewelry.

AKASHA takes its name from the Sanskrit word for space or ether. Blue tiger-eye, blue-veined stone, turquoise, and aromatic materials inform a commission centered on voice and authentic expression—the wish to find a way to say what matters.

We consider the symbolism of materials, the experience of wearing a piece, and the story behind it together. Jewelry becomes a tangible reminder of an intention its wearer wants to keep close.

A Shamanic Drum Beater and Necklace: Objects for Personal Ritual

A drum beater and necklace commissioned for Linzi show another direction for Life Gifts. Bespoke work can respond to a person's sound, movement, and ritual, becoming a companion within a meaningful practice.

Such commissions invite us to consider how an artwork lives with its owner: worn, held, or used at a moment that matters.

Begin Your Life Gift

Every commission begins with a conversation. Tell us about the person, experience, or intention you wish to honor, along with your preferred form, approximate budget, and timing. We will explore materials and design with you before confirming a quotation and production arrangements.

You do not need a finished design. A name, a color, or a memory can be enough to begin.
